Kaduna State Government is working toward developing adequate infrastructure, electricity, and water supply to meet growing consumer and industrial demand, as well as secure economic growth. Major investments include:

Electricity

• Solar power to replace bio-ethanol in 12 villages
• Small hydro-schemes to generation of 150 megawatts
• Emergency fuel-oil generating plant for 100-150 megawatts of electricity

Water

• Zaria water supply project
• Dam construction in Galma and Zaria
• Development of new raw water source
• Construction of reservoirs

Transportation

• Inter-city mass rail transport system
• Major roads and bridges to link all Local Government Areas in the State
